Phantom Engineering is seeking an experienced Acquisitions Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a mission-critical U.S. Government customer in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess deep acquisition expertise and a proven track record supporting Major System Acquisitions (MSAs) from concept through sustainment.

This position requires a seasoned acquisition professional who can demonstrate documented, impactful contributions across the full MSA lifecycle, including acquisition strategy development, requirements definition, milestone preparation, and program execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Experience supporting our primary Northern Virginia customer with network access
  • Proven, documented experience supporting one or more Major System Acquisitions (MSAs)
  • Experience supporting acquisition activities from early planning and requirements development through deployment, operations, and sustainment
  • Strong understanding of federal and IC acquisition processes, governance, and milestone reviews
  • Experience working with government program offices, contracting organizations, systems engineering teams, and operational stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large, complex technical programs involving software, cyber, communications, space, or intelligence systems
  • Background in requirements management, risk management, earned value management, or lifecycle sustainment planning
