Phantom Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support our Virginia-based Federal Government client. Must have an EE degree, 10+ years’ experience, and an active US Govt clearance. The role requires experience with circuit board level design, manufacturing support, and troubleshooting. It also includes analysis of power supply and source, system power distribution, battery performance analysis, electrical safety assessments, and analysis of system designs related to generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power.

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years relevant experience
• Understanding of the system engineering lifecycle and ability to apply it to projects – Systems Engineering & Technical Assistant (SETA) experience
• Experience with circuit board level design
• Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with environmentally constrained energy storage and power systems is desired
• Experience leading teams and interfacing with client leadership
